One Month Milestone Photos: Isabella

Here is a photo I took of my darling Isabella. The #1 was made out of flowers, this was very easy to make! I hand wrote and cut out the #1 on cardstock. I then punched out holes about 1 inch apart. I cut the the stem of the flowers about a quarter of an inch below the flower. I inserted the cut flowers onto the punched holes on the #1 alternating colors. The material is coral to match some of the flowers on her dress. She also has a coral floral headband, but I felt it blended too much with the material.  I opened the picture on Picmonkey.com and added the milestones. I played with the different fonts until I got a good variety.

Tip: Notice the empty space to the left? I left room for cropping. I have printed this picture through Costco.com and it generally requires me to crop. That space was left there so that I do not have to crop out any of elements of the photo.

What was used:
1 yard of Satin Material in coral
1 headband ($1) purchased at a outdoor market(new)
Dress was purchased at Baby Gap
Flowers purchased at Costco ($10) with plenty left

New Hobby: Photograpy - The Subject: Isabella

Not much to write about in regards to photography as there is a lot of content out there. I am an amateur photographer with no formal training. Just read stuff online and trial and error. I am using a Canon Rebel Camera and a 50 mm lens.  I used Picmonkey.com for editing. I did purchase a yearly subscription for Picmonkey.com for $40.00. The mermaid outfit was purchased on Amazon. The background is a sheet of paper, purchased at Blick Art Supplies. I used a khaki comforter and added pink tool on top to simulate sand. The beautiful subject? My new baby, Isabella at three weeks old.

Love Tag

I want to share a tag I made for a weekly challenge I participate in.  The tag is a manila tag that I inked using distress inks from Tim Holtz. The rose dies are from My Creative Time.  I really wanted to try the silver/plum/purple combo, so I added a splash of silver in the background and with the word love, which is a die from Lawn Fawn. It really is hard to say where I got the rest of the supplies because I buy things from a lot of places, mainly Michaels and Joannes.

I just want to add that this tag was made when I heard that gay people can now get married in all 50 states in the US. Well, it wasn't exactly that which motivated this tag, it was the hate being displayed on my FB timeline by those who oppose gay marriage. The hate... it is shameful, but it inspired me to make a tag which display the word love in the beautiful sparkling silver color and you know what?
LOVE WINS!

Close up of the flower dies, I just love these!

Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this tag. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Popsicle Card

I made a Popsicle card using Fruity Fiesta SVG files from svgcut.  I cut out the Popsicle in yellow and green lime colors. The "Keep Calm & Enjoy Summer" was cut out with my Silhouette Cameo within a 4X5.25 white rectangle (Bazzle Card stock), then I glued bright card stock behind the quote. Used a dark blue scrapbook paper to cut out a 4.25X5.5 frame, the &, and the word Enjoy. Lastly, I used the clear Wink of Stella pen to add shine! Hope I've inspired!
